In cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Turkey Office, the Workshop on Increasing Women’s Participation in Working Life was held in Ankara on 26-27 June: Opportunities Workshop was organised.
Undersecretary of the Embassy of Sweden in Ankara, ILO Turkey Director, ILO Working Conditions and Equality Department, workers’ and civil servants’ confederations, trade unions, Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Ministry of Labour, academics, TurkStat, Ministry of Trade, Turkish Employment Agency, Ministry of Family and Social Services and many other institutions and organisations participated in the workshop.
Presentations were made by the representatives of these institutions and organisations within the framework of the foreseen programme.
The workshop continued for two days;
- Increasing Women’s Participation in Working Life and Opportunities,
- Zero Tolerance to Violence in Working Life,
- A Transformative Force: Care Economics and the Business of Care,
- Presentations were made on the Principle of Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value and Practices.
Questions-answers and suggestions on the content of the workshop, which is the agenda of every individual in Turkey, and policy proposals on the joint work of the 3 pillars (workers, employers and the State) were expressed.
