In line with our training program funded by the European Union in 2023, our first training meeting was held on June 10, 2023, in Mudanya.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The meeting, held for our union’s representatives and branch managers at workplaces in Manisa, Bursa, and Tuzla, was also attended by D\u0130SK President Dr. Arzu \u00c7erkezo\u011flu, our President Kaz\u0131m Do\u011fan, and Tobias Bavnsgaard, the representative of our union’s project partner, the Danish 3F federation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Dr. Arzu \u00c7erkezo\u011flu gave the opening speech of the meeting. In her speech, \u00c7erkezo\u011flu emphasized the importance of the organizational level of workers and stressed the need to further increase organization in the second century of our Republic. Pointing out that the Turkish working class, regardless of their views, trusts D\u0130SK, \u00c7erkezo\u011flu noted that a great responsibility therefore falls on the D\u0130SK-member representatives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the first part of the training meeting, which was organized in three sections, social security law expert Fevzi \u015een and labor law and audit expert Sinan \u00d6zaslan gave a presentation lasting over two hours on fundamental payroll concepts and basic social security concepts. \u015een and \u00d6zaslan answered our representatives’ questions in detail regarding examples from their workplaces.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the second section, Dr. B\u00fclent Aslanhan gave a presentation on the concept of occupational disease, the procedures to be followed for occupational diseases, and points to be considered from an OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) perspective. Aslanhan answered the questions that followed his presentation.<\/p>\n

In the final section of the meeting, our union’s experts Gizem Salman and Haluk Deniz Medet provided information on the content and operation of ILO Convention 190 on the Elimination of Violence and Harassment in the World of Work, which is included in our collective bargaining agreements, with a special focus on the “workplace policy document.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The second part of the representative training, carried out by our union, D\u0130SK and 3F within the scope of a project supported by the European Union, will be held in Istanbul on June 17, 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
