As part of our ongoing project* with our sister union 3F Federation in Denmark, we held our informational meeting in Gaziantep.
On June 1st, a meeting was held with Syrian workers at the office of the Sustainable Local Development Association (LDO).
The meeting was led by M. Nuri Toprak, the project’s Gaziantep assistant, and Eylem Uca, the project’s Istanbul assistant.
The importance of organizing workers and using collective bargaining agreements to achieve better working and living conditions was emphasized.
Information was provided on the gains made through collective bargaining agreements signed by our union, and participants’ questions on this topic were answered.
Syrian workers were informed about the purpose, field objectives, and support provided by our project, with the help of Arabic translators.
During the meeting, which had high attendance, solutions were discussed and evaluated regarding the problems faced by refugee workers in their working lives.
