There was a long process of authorization litigation at the SML Label workplace, where our union organized and took the majority in 2018.
The Supreme Court decided that we are the union with the sufficient majority for a collective bargaining agreement in the workplace, and in line with this decision, collective bargaining agreements were started in February 2021 with the authorization of the Ministry.
At the end of the 60-day negotiation period, an agreement was reached between the parties and a collective bargaining agreement consisting of 61 articles was signed on April 27, 2021.
With the collective agreement, an increase of 21.56 percent was made on the existing wages as of April 1, 2021. An additional 5 percent increase was introduced for the members in the job descriptions for which basic wages were applied.
Members are also provided with a severance pay based on the length of time they have worked, as well as a seniority support payment.
In addition to wages, the contract also regulates family assistance, private health insurance support, food assistance, child and education assistance, and sports assistance for childless workers, in addition to social assistance for birth, marriage and death.
In addition to annual paid leaves and excused leaves defined in the law, paid social leaves and paid union leaves have been determined in different required areas.
We wish the contract to be good for all our members.
